The Villains Tournament

You watch them in period dramas. You see them try to foil all the plans the hero has. You hope they lose and that the hero defeats them. But surely, some much be more disliked than others?

This is the Villains Tournament: a tournament to decide which villain in our favorite period dramas is the most detestable. Who is worse? Who is more dislikable?

The Villains tournament will determine which villain or unlikable character in your favorite period dramas is the most disliked.

The Tournament will begin on February 27th and end on April 6th.

Round 1 (Results) -- February 27th - March 6th

Round 2 (Results) -- March 8th - 15th

Round 3 (Results) -- March 16th - 23nd

Round 4 (Results) -- March 25th - April 1st

Final Round -- April 2nd - April 8th

The 2nd Period Drama Heroine Tournament

It's that time again! 50 heroines from your favorite period dramas will compete to win the 2nd Period Drama Heroine Tournament.

How it Works: Readers of Elegance of Fashion will vote in polls featuring different heroines from different period dramas. The polls will last one week, and once they're over, the winners will go onto the next round. All matches are randomly put together and do not have two characters from the same period drama (as long as it is possible).

Here is how each round will work:

1st Round: 50 Contestants -- 2 Contestants per poll -- 25 winners*

2nd Round: 24 Contestants -- 2 Contestants per poll --  13 winners

Wild Card

3rd Round: 14 Contestants -- 2 Contestants per poll -- 7 winners

4th Round: 7 Contestants -- 7 Contestants in poll --  4 winners

5th Round: 4 Contestants -- 2 winners 

Final Round: 2 Contestants - 1 Winner

* The contestant with the most votes will have immunity for the 2nd round. If two or more are tied for most votes, the contestant with immunity will be randomly selected.

Period Drama Hero Tournament!

We've come to know them... We've come to root for them... We hope they end up with the girl of their dreams (or that the girl will accept them)... Or maybe not, but they are still honorable and we love them anyways!

This is "The Period Drama Hero Tournament"! Where our favorite heroes and other male main characters from various period dramas compete for the coveted gold metal and title of "Favorite Hero".

Due to high demand and the success of the "Period Drama Heroine Tournament", the Hero tournament is underway!

How it Works: Readers of Elegance of Fashion will vote in polls. The polls will last one week, and once they're over, the winners from each poll will go onto the next round. The first round starts out with 50 heroes with 25 polls to vote in: each poll will have two heroes to pick from. Second round - 25 heroes and 8 polls (the hero with the most votes in Round 1 will have immunity in Round 2: if there are two heroes tied for that spot, they will be randomly selected). After the voting for Round 2 closes, there will be a three day poll to decide a wild card contestant from the already eliminated contestants. Third - 10 heroes (including the wild card) and 5 polls; each poll will have two heroes in it. Fourth Round - one poll with the top four of the five contestants will move on. Fifth - 2 polls and 4 heroes. Lastly, the final round will decide who wins "The Period Drama Hero Tournament"!

This is "The Period Drama Heroine Tournament"! Where our favorite heroines and other female main characters from various period dramas compete for the coveted gold metal and title of "Favorite Heroine".

How it Works: Readers of Elegance of Fashion will vote in polls: the choices are two or three heroines from different period dramas. The polls will last one week, and once they're over, the winners will go onto the next round. The first round starts out with 30 heroines with 15 polls to vote in. Second round - 15 heroines and 5 polls. Third - 1 poll in which the top four heroines moving on. Fourth - 2 polls and 4 heroines. Lastly, the final round will decide who wins "The Period Drama Heroine Tournament"!
