The Final Round will be up shortly!
I am so delighted with the outcome of this round! It's not that I don't like Mr. Darcy, it's that I was rooting for Mr. Knightley and didn't really expect him to win, but he did! And how delightful to have an Austen hero and a Gaskell hero in the final round!

I really must admit that's not quite what I expected; and if Knightley won, I thought that Darcy would be closer! I must adopt Jane Bennet's phrase: "Poor Mr. Darcy!"
ReplyDeleteAlthough if the opposite had happened, I'd be saying "Poor Knightley". Really, I've had Mr. Knightley in my head for a few days now...:P
And furthermore, even if I did sort of hope Darcy would win (I voted for him, after all), Mr. Knightley was Jane Austen's favorite, therefore I must draw satisfaction. ;-)
But...poor Mr. Darcy. Maybe he'll win next time. :P
