- John Thornton (North and South)
- Fitzwilliam Darcy (Pride and Prejudice)
- Arthur Clennam (Little Dorrit)
- George Knightley (Emma)
- Captain Frederick Wentworth (Persuasion)
The top four heroes will move on to the fifth round! The hero with the least votes will be eliminated. Go and vote for your favorite!
Only one out of these five?! This is very hard to choose. I'm voting for Captain Wentworth but I might change to Mr. Knightley.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea which hero to vote for yet. I shall have to do some thinking first. Mr. Thornton, Mr. Darcy, and Mr. Knightley are all my favorite heroes!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jemimah - I can't decide between those three! I haven't seen Little Dorrit (although I think I will have to after all the praise for Arthur!) and I can't believe Captain Wentworth beat Mr. Tilney! He's never been a particular favourite of mine, for no particular reason.
ReplyDeleteBut as a tie-breaker, I think the one I'd most like to meet/would get along with best would probably be Mr. Knightley: the other two are so brooding and proud at first, but he's so gentle and caring throughout :)

Well, since Gilbert Blythe and Henry Tilney are out, I guess it's Mr. Knightley all the way! =)
ReplyDelete(Glad to see he's ahead, at least for now!)

Darcy. :) Though I'm sorry Knightley can't win too...
ReplyDeleteWow, having just voted, I'm amazed at how well Knightley is doing so far! 8-5, Knightley-Darcy! Interesting. I do wonder how it'll turn out! I'd though of Thornton vs. Darcy as the bigger thing, but I guess maybe not...very interesting indeed.
ReplyDeleteSince Percy didn't make it, Thornton all the way!!!! I'd love to see a non-Austen hero win....
ReplyDeleteI voted for Darcy, of course. It's crazy that him and Knightley are so close together. I never knew so many people liked Knightley better than Darcy
ReplyDeleteI'm also sorry that Henry Tilney got out and that right now poor Wentworth is tying for last. Hopefully he'll get more votes.
