  1. Totally rooting for the Dashwood sisters, Margaret Hale (why does she have to be up against Marianne??? OH THE HUMANITY), Amy Dorrit and Anne Shirley.
My apologies if you've already explained this--but why is Emma immune in this round? Will she be in the next round?

  2. Miss Dashwood,
Immunity is given to the contestant with the most points from Round 1. Emma and Georgiana Darcy both were tied for immunity, so it was randomly selected between the two. Emma will be back in Round 3.

  3. Oh yay! I'm glad Emma is immune. ;-)

    Okay, here goes...

    1. That's kind of neat, because it's two historical characters. I voted for Victoria.
    2. Definitely Catherine.
    3. Mary Smith
    4. Amy. Even though I like Jo. How sad that one of them will be out!
    5. Elinor, of course.
    6. Jane Eyre. Although I do like Emily.
    7. Oh wow, I really like them both. But I'm going for Esther. She reminds me a little of Amy Dorrit; very self-sacrificing and sweet. It's a really good mystery too! You should watch Bleak House, Miss Lizzy! =) (I think you haven't, right?)
    8. Anne!!!
    9. Going for Jane.
    10. What?! Oh! How sad! =( =( Well, I'll show my loyalty to Marianne and vote for her. But she probably won't win. :-(
    11. That's tough! But I'll vote for Anne Elliot, basically because she's the heroine heroine.
    12. I almost voted for Margaret, but then decided on Cynthia. I'm not exactly sure why. But she has a lot more to do with the story of W&D than Margaret does with S&S. I like Margaret a lot, but she doesn't seem to be a very main character - the book actually doesn't say much about her - and she's younger. More suited for a young heroine tournament I'd say, but we'll see. =)

How weird that Cynthia's in here but Molly Gibson isn't!! That's the way tournaments work, I guess.

  4. How fun! I think my toughest choice was between Anne Shirley and Buttercup...both of them are special leading ladies from my childhood. :( I went ahead and voted for Buttercup since Anne will probably win.

It was also tough choosing between Margaret Hale and Marianne Dashwood, but I chose Margaret. I also went for Anne Elliot, even though I like Georgiana, too.

I can't wait to see the results! :)

  5. Melody,
Interestingly enough, Cynthia won by only one vote, so it was pretty split in Round 1. I haven't seen Bleak House yet, but I have heard that it is good. I'll keep it in mind. Thanks!
