Poll 1
Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)
Elinor Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility)
Poll 2
Amy Dorrit (Little Dorrit)
Margaret Hale (North and South)
I'm giving a couple extra days to vote since the voting would end of Christmas Day: you have until the Monday after Christmas at 9:55 Blogger Time to vote. Go and vote for your favorite contestants!
God Bless,
I quite like all four! But I voted for Anne over Elinor (is that so evil of this Janeite? The Anne movies were my first favorites, after all...)
ReplyDeleteAnd voted for Amy over Margaret. Just because. =) "There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart"!
Oooh! This round is tricky! It's difficult to choose between such lovely heroines! I think I'll vote for Elinor and Margaret because I identify with them the most. Wouldn't it be neat is Amy Dorrit won the whole tournament though! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Anne has made it so far! Would have thought a March girl (Little Women) or another Austen. I'm going to Elinor (because she's an all time favorite, and I'm terribly like her sometimes) and Amy (because I'm watching and loving Little Dorrit right now).
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that Emma was so soundly beaten by Anne S, and even Molly G! Never would have seen that one coming! I really love Emma, and not so much the other two, so.
ReplyDeleteCharity,
ReplyDeleteI remember during the last heroine tournament, I was watching Little Dorrit for the first time! And I like Amy so much. She didn't make it this far last time.
I love Emma too; and I'm disappointed she didn't make it. I'm not at all surprised that Anne did though. I would not be surprised if she won the whole thing. She's quite a universal favorite, and a classic heroine. I loved her before I ever met Emma Woodhouse, or even Lizzy Bennet. ;-)
I actually like her better than Elinor...*shocked gasps from Elinor-admirers* I mean, I like Miss Dashwood a lot, I've just come to like Emma so much of late. =)
When I saw the Poll - I just knew I had t come and vote for my Kindred Spirit - Anne Shirley... that's Anne with an E, of course!
ReplyDeleteAnd, didn't Diana Barry tell Anne - she had never failed at anything. Well, remembering that line... I hope Anne will win this competition, too - just like the Rollings Reliable Prize or the Avery Scholarship!
Anne Shirley has always been my favorite - and always will be!
how do you vote? i'm confused....sorry, don't want to mess anything up...but how do you vote?
ReplyDelete~Miss Elizabeth
