  1. Woahh! Already?! That was unexpected! Well, if I'd been spending more time online I probably would have noticed it was going to start.

    Yay! Excitement! Here I go...

    1. I have to choose Catherine. =)
    2. I like Nora, but Mary Smith.
    3. Cynthia. It may not be fair, but I know her. And I don't really dislike her too much.
    4. Poor Sophy! Last time she was matched against Jane Bennet, I remember. Now it's an actual JA heroine! Anyways, Anne Elliot.
    5. I'm going with Jessie Brown. Although it doesn't look like she'll win.
    6. Amy Dorrit. I love her. =)
    7. Jane. She seems more heroine-ish.
    8. Margaret Hale.
    9. Ha ha! Well, I can't remember particularly liking Buttercup; so even though I'm not a fan of her, Harriet Smith. (Even if I'm the only one. :P)
    10. Victoria
    11. Jo. I like Miss Taylor quite well, but Jo is a heroine. And I do like her. =)
    12. Fancy Day
    13. Oh my goodness! Marianne, 100%!!!
    14. Miss Potter
    15. Emma!!!! I wish her well, she didn't get far enough last time.
    16. I love Georgiana.

    Okay, I'm condensing.
    18. Gweneth against Anne?! Ha!!
    19. I'll have to read those two profiles to determine.
    20. Ditto
    21. Definitely Margaret!
    23. Oh dear! I like Eleanor quite a bit, but she's not a heroine; and Jane Eyre...well, I'm kind of 'into' her right now. :P
24: NOOOO!!!!!! This is tragedy!!! I'll have to go for Fanny. Although poor Fanny is misunderstood and I would be very surprised if she beat Elinor.

  2. Wow! The first round already! I guess I haven't been paying attention either.
I agree with Melody, poor Fanny Price! I'm quite in love with Mansfield Park right now so I'm voting for her. Some of the other matches were quite difficult as well. There are so many great literary female characters in the tournament! :)

  3. So glad to see the polls up already! As always, it was fun voting for the heroines. I did have some difficulty again, such as with Jane Eyre and Eleanor Tilney, Fanny Price and Elinor Dashwood. I ended up voting for those with less votes.
