Merry Christmas!

O Come All Ye Faithful
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem.
Come and behold Him,
Born the King of Angels;
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

 God Bless,
God Bless, Miss Elizabeth Bennet

  1. Dear Miss Elizabeth Bennet,
(I'm from Germany, so I can't write very well in English)
I love your blog! A few days ago I found your blog and your blog is full of that stuff that I'm interested in!
I love movies, series and books from the 19th century!
I always look for some new and if there are any new series on TV.
It seems that you are a better expert and so I wanted to ask you:
Instead of Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and Charlotte Bronte...what are YOUR favourite autohrs and books?
I bought an eReader and I need some new stuff...
Is "Larkrise to Candleford" maybe also a book?
Have you some ideas for me?
    Thank you,
    Another Austen-Fan

    1. Elizabeth Bennet,
Welcome! I'm glad you like my blog so much!

I haven't read much outside of Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, and Charlotte Bronte, but I'll try to recommend what books I can. I enjoyed The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, so you might want to check it out. Other than that, I can't really think of anything else off the top of my head. Someone you may want to ask is Charity over at Austenitis (http://austenitis.blogspot.com/); she reads a wide variety of books and reviews them at Austenitis.

From what I've read around, Lark Rise to Candleford was a trilogy by Flora Thompson. The books in that trilogy were called Lark Rise, Over to Candleford, and Candleford Green. I think all three books were published in the 1930s or 1940s, but take place in the 1890s, so it might be something you may want to look into.

I'm very glad you found my blog and I hope you enjoy reading it! :-)
