Our New Puppy

So, you might wonder why I've been a little quiet lately (excepting a couple of posts here and there, but for the most part, quiet). Well...

Over the weekend, we got a puppy!

Her name is Sugar; my mom likes the Marilyn Monroe movie Some Like It Hot (which takes place during the Jazz age of the 20s), so my mom named our new puppy after Marilyn Monroe's character in there.

Sugar is adjusting well to her new home and for the most part gets along with our twelve year old male dog, Ali. Both Ali and Sugar are Bedlington Terriers.

Bedlington Terriers start off with black fur as puppies, but as they get older, their fur turns grey (or for some sandy color).

Here's a picture of Sugar's mother, Kiwi. Sugar has five sisters and a brother.

Sugar bears a resemblance to our dog who passed away, Coco. She runs very similarly to the way Coco used to run.

We're very happy that Sugar has adjusted so well. We're pleasantly surprised that she is being house trained very well.

 God Bless,
God Bless, Miss Elizabeth Bennet

  1. She is so sweet Miss Elizabeth! And it looks like Ali is training her well, too. :)
That's neat that Bedlington Terriers start off with black fur as puppies and then their fur changes color as they get older. Do you know what color Sugar's fur will be when she gets older?
Thanks for posting photos, it's lovely to see what she looks like! :)

  2. Marissa,
    Thank you!

    Miss Laurie,
Thank you! Sugar's fur will look like Ali's when she gets older. Some of the grey is poking through her black fur. She also has a little white on her feet which will probably fade by the time she turns grey.
