New Banner (Finally!)

I've created a new banner! I've been watching the new season of Downton Abbey recently (by the way, good! I'll have to review it soon!) Slight spoiler, but Mary and Matthew sing at a concert together, and for the past week, I've had the song stuck in my head. So I created a banner for it:

 God Bless,
 God Bless, Miss Elizabeth Bennet

  2. Charity,
It's really good! There a couple of scenes that I would skip, but the rest is great! I'm in the middle of watching season 2 on Masterpiece Theater.

  3. This is lovely Miss Elizabeth! I'm watching Season 2 on Masterpiece Theatre too, only I'm watching it on their website. I loved the scene these photos are taken from! I teared up so much after seeing Matthew's smiling face! Another very lovely banner! :)

  7. I think Downton Abbey is so well-done! And your banner is simply marvelous, Miss Laurie. :) I would have to agree, there are some "fast-forward" scenes sprinkled throughout the show, but nevertheless it is excellent and exquisitely done. Personally, I think the second season is as good as the first, possibly better!

    God Bless,
    Claire

  9. Season Two of "DOWNTON ABBEY" was a major disappointment to me.

The servants (with the exception of Brandon and Thomas) still continued to regard the Crawleys with a ridiculous sense of loyalty that I found unrealistic. Mary and Matthew's romance had been downgraded to a second-rate romance novel. Mary's new beau, Sir Richard Whatshisname was portrayed as a one-dimensional villain, due to his status as a self-made man. Poor Lavinia had been portrayed as the dull "Other" woman, due to her middle-class status. Isobel Crawley's middle-class status was used against her, with Fellowes portraying her as this unlikeable and pushy woman. And I detested Lady Grantham's passive-aggressive handling of her. Brandon's socialist politics was used against him, with Fellowes portraying him as a childish and unfeeling man. No wonder previous Sybil/Brandon fans grew to hate their relationship. Thomas' story started out promising and ended up as a major disappointment. Carson was tiresome as ever. As for the Anna/Bates/Mrs. Bates triangle . . . it was nauseating to watch. So was the badly written affair between Lord Grantham and the maid Jane. And Dowager Lady Grantham continued to be the comic relief.

This second season was a major step down from the first. I only hope that Fellowes improves matters with Season Three. By the way, I think it would be a bad idea to continue with a fourth and fifth season.
