Period Drama Week - Questionnaire and Poll

Again, thank you everyone for making Period Drama Week a possibility! I'm so glad that many of you enjoyed it. I have a couple of questions for you to answer if you have the time. Also, I've put up a new little poll at the side bar (and yes, the poll that I had up is still running): if you would be so kind as to vote, I would be grateful!

  1. Overall, what was your opinion of Period Drama Week?
  2. What were your favorite posts during the week? Not so favorite?
  3. How was the trivia? Too easy? Too hard? Too long? Too short?
  4. How was the tag? Was it too long or too short?
  5. Did you like the days in which you could get involved? Or did you prefer the days in which the posts were more informative?
  6. For the poll at the side bar (whether or not you would be interested in a blog that would be based upon the Period Drama Advice Column), do you have any more comments on it?
  7. Lastly, do you have any suggestions for the posts for events?
Thanks everyone!

 God Bless,
 God Bless, Miss Elizabeth Bennet

  1. 1. I thought it was great fun! Loved it and I'd do it again.

    2. Favorite was probably the tag/questionnaire, but I liked reading the advice column (and should have participated myself, really).

    3. I thought the trivia quiz was a good mixture of easy and hard questions, but a bit limited in scope - while the "three movies [actor] has been in" questions allowed a lot of leeway, overall I think there were too few movies/miniseres referenced, and too many were Austen adaptations. Maybe next time a couple of quizzes, created by different people, that have different themes? Like an Austen quiz, an early Victorian quiz, a Georgian quiz, &c.

    4. The tag was a good length, perfect for splitting in two or three posts.

    5. Both, equally!

    6. I think it might be fun for it to be interactive, with one person providing the letter with the question, with commenters responding as other characters.

    7. Not really! Just what I said above about the trivia quiz.

  2. 1. I think it was fun. :)
    2. Hmm...I don't know. ha
    3. I think it was just about right.
    4. It was a pretty good length. It was nice to have questions added by others too. =)
    5. I do like getting involved, but the other ones were fun...probably it would be nice to have the getting involved ones as early as possible, so we will have a little longer to come up with something - maybe even before the week starts.
    6. If there was a 'maybe' option I'd probably choose that...I'd need more information before I could say a 'yes' or 'no'.
    7. Hmmm...I'll comment again if I think of something. :)

  3. 1. It was a lot of fun, there was a lot of read and look at and many ways to get involved. Miss Elizabeth, you did such a great job organizing all of this! I wasn't able to focus on it as much as I had wished because of my own schedule. It did seem to me that maybe there were fewer people participating and maybe it came a little too soon after the Jane Austen Week. But I'd definitely participate in any other events you host. :)

    2. I enjoyed all of your posts this week. My favorites were probably the trivia, where have I seen them before and which characters would be friends posts.

    3. There were a lot of trivia questions so that made it a bit tricky when trying to answer. The questions were about the right mix of some easy and some hard. I really enjoyed it!

    4. The tag was good, it was a bit long or rather some of the questions required a bit of a longer answer so I felt I did have to divide my posts up into fourths. Some of the questions were also a bit similar to those of the Jane Austen Week.

    5. I enjoyed the posts where we could get involved and I think you put the right ratio of informative and involving posts.

    6. I initially voted yes because I do really enjoy writing the advice letters. But, after thinking about it for a bit I changed my vote to no because my opinion is that the Advice Column is fun and special to do during an event like Period Drama Week but it could get old quickly if there was a whole blog dedicated to it. Does this make sense? I'm not trying to sound mean. Perhaps an advice column event might be fun.

    7. I can't think of any questions right now, sorry! I have a cold and my brain is kind of gone.

Thanks so much for hosting this event! :)

  4. 1. Awesome. :) I enjoyed it a lot!

    2. Oooo, let me go look at the history. The trivia was fun. So was the advice column. I loved the doubles posts! Quotes were also fun. I guess the friends one didn't inspire me much.

    3. Goodness. Ummm...for me, it was probably a little long. But I haven't seen as many period dramas as many of you. Not too easy, but for the ones I knew, not too hard either.

    4. It was wonderful. :) I'm glad you made it as long as you did! I enjoy long tags. Shorter - don't do it. Longer - yes please! :) Though this was good.

    5. Both. You had a nice mixture. And I comment enough to feel involved. ;)

    6. Hmmm...yes. I think so. My only wonder is whether an author could come up with enough to make an entire blog of them! I also think it should be something other bloggers could have links to theirs on, if that makes any sense.

    7. Ummm...good question. Nope, not at the moment. :( But maybe, just maybe, some more tournaments? *hopeful smile*
