I would like to declare today the beginning of Jane Austen Week! Welcome to Jane Austen Week! To open Jane Austen Week, I'm introducing a game that everyone can play for the whole week! The game: Movie Scene Game!
Rules: The rules are simple. Look through all the pictures: each picture is a segment from a screenshot from a Jane Austen adaptation. Then guess which movie the picture is from. BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ANSWER! You will get two chances to answer the pictures correctly. Leave a comment with your answers (I won't publish the comment, but I will record your answers). I will publish a comment with the username/name of the people whose answers I have received and whether or not you got all your answers correct, but if you get anything wrong, I won't say which one(s) is/are wrong. It might help to subscribe to the comments when you post your questions! At the end of Jane Austen Week (Saturday), I will announce the winners (or the top ten who come closest) and will list them on my left sidebar. Have fun!
Hint: There is one repeat.
Edit: I'll add in a couple more details to the rules. 1. You don't need to give the year of the movie (hopefully that will make it a little easier). 2. 1 chance = Filling out all the questions and submitting them, so if you only answer five in one comment and turn in the other five in another, it will count as one chance.

God Bless,
Ugh, commenting to subscribe. And I just figured out why I forgot to...you changed your comment format. ;) lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting Jane Austen week. I have my first post up! I wrote a poem and dressed up!
ReplyDeleteFirst Round of Answers!
ReplyDeleteMelody -- For #5, you didn't give me the movie it's from. If you comment what movie you think it's from, I'll still count this as your first chance.
Charity -- The questions you gave me were correct. If you want to fill out the others and comment them in, I'll count it is your first chance.
Miss Laurie -- 1 Wrong

Keep the answers coming!
Charity,
ReplyDeleteYes, at the end of the week for the concluding post, I'll have all the answers and the winners.
Thanks for the comment! I am having a blast!
ReplyDeleteKatie Wegner -- 1 Wrong, 5 Didn't answer
ReplyDeleteKeep the answers coming!
I know I didn't answer #5...I really didn't have the slightest idea...am I supposed to answer all of them? If so I'll just make a random guess.
ReplyDeleteOooh! I wonder which one I got wrong!
ReplyDeleteI posted Part 1 of my answers to the questions. I'll be posting the other parts (2 & 3) later this week, probably after Anne's Party. I've been having so much fun answering the questions!
~Miss Laurie :)
Can't wait to see the answers :)
ReplyDeleteMelody,
ReplyDeleteTry to make a guess. You don't have to answer them all right away; if you want to think on that one for a little while, you can. Take a look at clues in the picture (for example, in #5 the hair color) and try to eliminate the movies that it couldn't possibly be from. Hope this helps!
This looks like fun! Unfortunately, I'm a terrible guesser, but I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteOh, and here's my part 1 to the JAW questions! http://beautifulblankpages.blogspot.com/2011/08/jane-austen-week-questions-all-about.html
Miss Raquel -- 1 Wrong, 3 Didn't Answer. There are more than one adaptations of different Jane Austen novels, but there's only one adaptation that has two mystery pictures.
ReplyDeleteJemimah C. -- 5 Wrong, 4 didn't answer
Keep them coming!
Ouch! Told you I wasn't a good guesser. :P
ReplyDeleteMiss Laurie -- All correct! Congratulations!
