Jane Austen Week Questions

Here are the questions that I've promised! For Jane Austen Week to get everyone involved, I've complied a list of questions that you can answer on your blogs. I ask that you wait until Jane Austen Week starts before you post the questions. This week before Jane Austen Week starts will give you an opportunity to start writing your answers.

When you post your questions during Jane Austen Week, leave a comment so I can put a link to your blog! For the conclusion of Jane Austen Week, I would like to take some quotes from some of the blog posts for the concluding post (I will comment on your post to ask your permission to quote you, of course). Here are the questions! And remember to decorate your posts with pictures!
  1. What is your favorite thing about Jane Austen? Why?
  2. What are your top three favorite Jane Austen Novels and why?
  3. Who are your top three favorite Jane Austen Heroines and why?
  4. Who are your top three favorite Jane Austen Heroes and why?
  5. Any honorable mentions for 3 and 4? (Keep it under five all together)
  6. Top three Jane Austen Adaptations and why?
  7. Top Three Jane Austen characters that "take delight in vexing" you?
  8. Jane Austen Sequels... Do you like them or not?
  9. Do you have a favorite spot to keep all your Jane Austen "stuff"?
  10. Which Jane Austen character do you think you're most like?
  11. Added 8/2/11 What was your introduction to Jane Austen? (Suggested by Melody from Regency Delight)
If you have any questions on the questions, feel free to ask so I can clarify anything. And most importantly, have fun!

 God Bless,
 God Bless, Miss Elizabeth Bennet

  3. Oh, question 5 did confuse me a little ... does it mean, if we had more than 3 favorites from questions 2-4, we can mention them there? And then under question 5, we can mention up to 5 people?

  4. Are we to answer all the questions or can we choose which ones to answer? And do we make one post per question?

  5. Are you looking at a particular day in that week, or is that completely up to us?...

    Btw, very nice questions!:D

  6. Mimic of Modes,
Thanks for filling out the questions!

    Melody,
For question 5, yep, like you said. So if you had a really hard time picking only, let's say, only three heroes, then question 5 if where you can mention them. Or if you liked a secondary character (Miss Bates, Georgiana Darcy, etc.) then you could also mention them there.

    Jemimah,
As many as you like, perferably all, but if you are having a hard time on a question, you can skip it. The questions I intended for all in one post, but if you want to split it up it would work.

    Risa,
    Completely up to you.

    Thanks everyone for the comments!

  7. Okay!

Another fun question might be: "What was your introduction to Jane Austen" or "When were you first interested in JA?"

Maybe I'll add that in to my post just for fun. Tehe.

  8. Melody,
I think I'll add that in. Thanks!

  9. Oh! Much obliged, I'm sure. :)

Oh, and I forgot the question mark. Sorry about that.

  10. BTW, on question 5, did you mean 'honorable mentions for 2, 3, and 4'?

  11. Melody,
Thanks! That must have been left over from an earlier draft of my questions. I had another character question, but then I thought of another better question so I took it out.

  15. Do I have to post each question each day of the week? Or all the questions at one time?? Sorry, I'm a little confused. :P

  16. Elizabeth,
    Thank you!

    Maria Grazia,
    Thank you!

    ~Miss Raquel,
You can post the questions all at once or you can divide them into a couple of posts -- whatever is convenient. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. :-)
