I'm not seeing the poll up...just Round 4? I'm subscribing to comments, and will check back later. But my vote is for Rigaud. He's a real criminal. Wickham? Well, he is too -- but at least he's not a murderer!
Oh dear. I DON'T KNOW WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE. I mean, obviously Rigaud is worse technically (I mean, he's a cold-blooded murderer!) buuuut... they are two very different kind of villains and I don't know as I get more mad at the Wicked Wickhamish sort. :P
I have *so* enjoyed this tournament, Miss Elizabeth! :) Some of the results surprised me, most delighted, a few were disappointing---I would have loved to see Augustus Melmotte or Banastre Tarleton make it to the final round, for instance! But I am thrilled beyond measure that Riguad made it; I was madly hoping that I would be able to vote for him. :)
I just found this blog. Hope you don't have to be a member to vote, because really, Rigaud has to win. Wickham led silly women captive, like it warns in the Bible, but it was generally in part their own fault. Rigaud is a brutal killer regardless. I don't know that one is technically "worse" but Rigaud scared me so badly I had to cover my ears whenever he whistled that horrible tune. Wickham by contrast never frightened me!!
I know it's somewhat unladylike not to call the murderer the worst, but I rather detest Mr. Wickham more. Do forgive me society, but I cast my vote for Mr. Wickham.

ReplyDeleteOh! My mistake. I forgot to set it up. Thanks for letting me know! :-)
DeleteI'm going to have to agree with you there: Wickham was a jerk, but he wasn't a criminal.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean... I think I'll end up voting for Rigaud since he is worse, but Wickham is one of my "most hated" villains.

ReplyDeleteBlessings,

I'm so glad you enjoyed this tournament! I think Rigaud has a very good chance of winning (or is it ultimately losing? haha!) the tournament.
DeleteThe poll is working backwards for me! When I cast my vote, it counted it for the other guy. So weird!
ReplyDeleteTotally Rigaud! Because Whickam was a totally womanizer, and was just plain yick! But at least he didn't kill the girls afterwards. :)
